Email Services Closing

Why is my email service closing?

We're making this change as we focus on our core services, including internet and mobile connectivity. Specialist email providers are better equipped to offer the security and stability required with increasing cyber‑security risks.

We know changes like this can be inconvenient, and we’re here to help you through the transition.

Your email account will close on 11 May 2026. We encourage you to back up any important emails, attachments or contacts ahead of time, so the transition is as smooth as possible.

We recommend you take the following steps as soon as possible:

  • Create a new email address with your preferred provider
  • Update your iPrimus contact email if you have other iPrimus services so we can reach you about your account
    • Visit account.iprimus.com.au
    • Choose Update account details → Change username
  • Save important emails, attachments or contacts from your iPrimus email account
  • Update your email address with any other services that use it (government services, banks, utilities, etc)
  • Let your contacts know that you’ll no longer be reachable at your email address

If you have other services with us, you will need to update your contact email address so you can keep receiving bills and important messages. You can do this by:

  • Visiting account.iprimus.com.au
  • Choosing ‘Update account details’ → ‘Change username’

From 11 May 2026, all emails, attachments and contacts stored on our server will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. We suggest exporting and saving anything you want to keep well before the closure date.

Unfortunately, we can’t move your email account to another provider. You’ll need to create a new email address.

No, this change only affects your email service. Your other services will continue as normal.

No, automatic forwarding is not available. If you create a new email address, make sure to update your contact details directly with any organisation, individual or service that uses your current email.

iPrimus looks after several different email domains. Your email service is currently managed by iPrimus, even if it does not include “iPrimus” in the address.

It’s important to stay alert. iPrimus will never ask you to provide payment details or login credentials by phone or email. If you're unsure whether a message is genuine, don’t click any links and always double-check by referring to our website or calling us before acting. Be cautious of scam emails and only follow instructions from trusted iPrimus communications.
